The Great British Spring Clean now in its seventh year took place from 25 March to 10 April. This annual initiative recognises that individual acts to protect the environment make a difference, but when we all come together, the positive changes to our surroundings can be huge.
Doing our bit for the Great British Spring Clean
We couldn’t agree more, and as part of Greener Ealing’s commitment to making our borough a better place to live, work and visit, we were keen to get on board and do our bit for the Spring Clean.
Listening to residents
We listened to residents and pinpointed areas of specific concern for them, sending squads made up of our core teams out to get involved. They transformed littered and overgrown spaces into cleaner and safer areas for everyone.
Making the borough cleaner and safer
We cleansed the alleyway behind No 1 Blenheim Road, Northolt, filling numerous bags with debris along the way and turning a neglected little alleyway into a clear walkway.
The following day it was the turn of the footbridge between Perryn Road and Goldsmith Road to get a makeover both under and over! We moved debris and rubbish including a mattress.
It was hard work but as you can see the team kept smiling and the results speak for themselves…
Thanks again to all our Greener Ealing transformers
