Trees for Cities
Greener Ealing volunteers joined forces with UK charity Trees for Cities to give a communal area on an Ealing housing estate a makeover.
More than a dozen GEL staff pitched in to kickstart the improvements on part of the Racecourse Estate in Northolt in December 2020.
It is hoped that by the spring, residents will see shoots of colour and foliage after a range of plants and hedgerow were planted. A number of wooden planters were also built and filled with soil to give residents who live in flats the opportunity to grow some of their own produce and tend to a garden.
