The GEL Board oversees the strategic objectives of the company and monitors progress towards these. GEL Board members are there to support the MD and senior managers, but also to bring an independent perspective, acting as a critical friend on behalf of the company’s stakeholders.
Mike BoultChairman
Mike Boult is a CIPFA accountant and has a longstanding career in transforming and developing Local Authority businesses, initially at the London Borough of Lewisham leading their in-house Direct Services £65m pa business.
In 1995 Mike successfully led the MBI of AAH Environmental Services to create Serviceteam, transforming and growing the business >£200mpa/£15m EBIT, then Cleanaway and Serco’s Environmental services delivering double digit revenue and profits growth over nearly two decades.
Mike managed Serco’s Leisure business for a period of over four years, providing strategic oversight, challenge, stability and achieving sustainable and profitable growth.
Joanna PavlidesNon-executive board member
Joanna Pavlides, who joined the Greener Ealing Board in February 2023, brings a wealth of experience gained during her 20 years’ service with Ealing Council. She also holds a CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership and a CMI Level 7 Award in Strategic Management and Leadership.As Assistant Director of Financial Assessments, Joanna’s responsibilities include Benefits Service, Local Welfare Assistance, Financial Assessments for Adult Social Care and Concessionary Travel, which affects around 30,000 of the most vulnerable households in the borough.Joanna is always looking for ways to improve efficiency and raise customer expectations, both in her own area and across the wider Council.
Kerry StevensNon-executive board member
Kerry Stevens has worked in local government for over 30 years in a wide range of roles across adult social services. He joined Ealing Council in 2019 and is the Strategic Director for Adult Social Care and Public Health. In this role he is responsible for budgets in excess of 100m, supporting over 3,000 vulnerable people and with a workforce of 350+.
